On Nov.14th a national television program run a report about Don Walter, our hunt for his old tapes and his new album. In Cahuita they encountered a cheerful Calypso King, vividly remembering incidents around some of his old songs.

And guess what, finally the famous rooster crowing in the background of his tape recordings gets full credit from the King! Scroll down for the whole show.

Recovered treasures

In 2017, nine original tapes were located in Canada:

In 2018, six original tapes were found in Costa Rica:

Currently Vol. 1 & 2 of the "Legendary Tape Recordings" are available - containing 30 previously unreleased Calypso treasures rescued by the Tape Hunt.

Also available: Benefit album "Keep The Cabin Above The Wata" with Tape Hunt versions of his favourite calypsos.
