A beautiful short film about the life of Mr. Gavitt.

It was realized in 2017 in collaboration with the ICAT program of the Universidad Nacional, Costa Rica and the support of the community of Cahuita.

It also tells the story about how he started to record himself on Cassettes... really nice! The film states "Walter Ferguson recorded two LPs (actually there are three), two CDs and uncountable Cassettes". We wonder how many have survived?

In 2017, nine original tapes were located in Canada:

Currently Vol. 1 & 2 of the "Legendary Tape Recordings" are available - containing 30 previously unreleased Calypso treasures rescued by the Tape Hunt.
